We are observing the allels of fish, there were originally eight allels of each color green, blue, red, orange and yellow. For example, there is a cup filled with about sixteen fishes. There were three generations and the task was to pull out two fishes from the cup and record them down. For instance, if I pulled out a green and blue fish for my first generation my outcome would be GG which stands for green. Next, If i pulled out a red and orange fish for my first generation my outcome would be rr which stands for red. Next, if I pulled out a yellow and blue fish my outcome would be yy which stands for yellow so therefore my fish will be yellow. Once I pull out a yellow fish I have to put the yellow fish in the morg. A morg is where after a fish dies they put the body into a morg, so in this case all my yellow fishes went into the morg so I had more green fishes.
Finally, my second and third generations has decreased and all of my yellow fishes has died and is in the morg. My first, second and third generation has a large amount of green fishes and some red. At the end of my third generation my results ended up being more green fishes and no more yellow fishes. When we eventually finished I recorded my fishes and put them all back in their tank. In particular, we answered questions in our packet and wrote our outcomes. This is the project we have been working on this week.
